Courage Cup
Our Mission
Mission

The Courage Cup is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation which was established to help at-risk youth. We support programs in the mid-Atlantic region which give disadvantaged children individualized attention and a positive alternative activity to keep them in school and off the streets.

Work to Ride is a community-based prevention program that aids disadvantaged urban youth ages 7 - 19 years-old through constructive activities centered on horsemanship, equine sports and education. Working with horses has been shown to help children in many ways, and the support from the program encourages children to work hard in school and graduate. Inner City Outings is a community outreach program that works with local social service agencies to provide low-income inner city youth ages 5 - 17 with wilderness experiences. The young people learn interpersonal skills, self-esteem, teamwork and an appreciation for nature as a result of their active relationship with the great outdoors.

Our long-term goals are to create a scholarship fund for youth who participate in Work to Ride and Inner City Outings. We also hope to bring the Work to Ride program to the DC area.
