Among my personal favorite pests. Yes, I know there are some truly awful spiders in distinct areas of the country. Practically speaking though, a spider is a spider. Typically, they are only like you and I. Looking for a bite to eat and a place to remain dry. Most of these men are only looking to eke out the next day without getting stepped on.
Prevention: As with all pests, the most effective prevention is dwelling care. While I am in the custom of looking around my house at least twice a month, their property may never be actually inspected by many homeowners. With spiders, this is particularly a good habit to get involved with for their webbing. When you do your regular walk around, and walk through (inside), take a long handled broom.
You are looking for just about any signals of spider webs. This should just take a few minutes for those who have followed some of my directions. If you learn webs, brush them away with all the sweeper. Should you find spiders… your pick… squish or get a paper plate, scoop them up and allow them to go in another part of the yard. Believe it or not, that’s about all you can do.
The answer is yes. Spiders, while they truly are not as cunning as we would like them, live with this planet just like we do, and as I said before, are just looking to keep dry and fed. Spiders are also rather advantageous to our eco system. They truly are an important predator of mosquitoes as well as other flying insects. You will have spiders that are less in case you follow this advice!
